Toxic Botanicals, Safety & Ethics
Open to 1st year graduates of the Sage Country Herbs program
or those with a foundational understanding of herbal actions.
Continuing to broaden your herbal education from year 1 and explore the deeper realms of plant medicine,
This second-year coursework is designed to deepen your connection with local Southwest plants,
and engage in intimate discussions of herbal ethics.
Utilizing the medicinal application of drop dosage,
We will intimately explore clinical uses of common plants and how to safely use toxic botanicals.
These drop dosage plants, profoundly effective in flower essences as well, are powerful medicines.
Knowing how to work with them with respect, reverence, and wisdom
creates the intention of understanding and accessing their transformative healing potential.
Some plants we will focus our botanical eyes on include but are not limited to
Datura, Nicotiana, Fouquieria, and Prunus
with a deeper exploration of the Solanaceae, Asteraceae, and Apiaceae plant families.
Through this course you will learn:

"I just want to say again that I am in awe of your knowledge
and felt very confident in you as a teacher.
I felt like I could focus on learning rather than discerning if what you were telling us was true.
Thank you for your energy, "
